Dry Lining Orbry Board

Save Energy and Money by Dry Lining with Orbry Board

Orbry Boards can be used for a number of uses, most commonly as a tile backer board, but also increasingly as a form of insulation. Whilst most houses in the UK have insulated cavity walls, 1 in 4 have solid walls with no additional insulation. As a third of all heat lost from the home goes through the walls, dry lining is a great way to prevent this from happening.

Dry lining with Orbry Board is easy and could help you save energy and money in your home. We recommend using 20mm Orbry Board for dry lining walls; thicker boards can be used, but these may take up too much space when fixed to the walls. The Orbry Board can be fixed to solid walls for dry lining using one of three methods:

  • Solid Bed Adhesive Fixing
  • Dot and Dab Fixing
  • Mechanical Fixing with Orbry Spanker Dowels

For further information about fixing dry lining Orbry Board to solid walls see the Orbry Solid Wall Fixing Guide.
