Save Time With The Orbry TrayFast

The Orbry TrayFast is a fully galvanised joist hanger that makes installing Orbry shower trays on to suspended timber floors quick and easy. Fixing supporting battens to joists to create a solid floor that is level with the top of the joists can be fiddly and time consuming. Fixing Orbry TrayFast joist hangers helps you lay 18mm ply inlay in half the time.

Installing the Orbry TrayFast Joist Hangers

1. Position the shower tray on the floor and draw around it. Locate the nearest joists outside of the marked area, and mark the line of the joist, removing the screws as necessary. Using a circular saw set to the depth of the floorboards, cut along the marked lines and remove the floorboards.
2. Position the Orbry TrayFast Joist Hangers equidistant along the joists and fix each with four 4 x 40mm passivated screws. Gaps of up to 70mm between each joist hanger are acceptable.
3. Cut 18mm exterior quality ply to fit between the joist hangers and loose lay on the hangers.
4. Mark the positions of any drains and position as per manufacturers’ recommendations. Fix plywood in position with gripfill adhesive and fix shower tray to manufacturers’ recommendations.
